1998 TJ Wrangler AC Kit 4.0 Liter Engine Knob Ctrls

Complete air conditioning kit for a 1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ with a 4.0 liter six cylinder engine and knob a/c controls. On 1998 Jeep Wranglers there are two style control panels; there is a slide panel with two slides and a knob, and there is a panel with three knobs. This a/c kit is for the 1998 Wrangler with the a three knob control, please view the picture above for a sample of the control panel. This is a complete air conditioning system that will add a/c to a wrangler that did not come with a/c originally. This kit is designed to work with the factory vents, and requires no fabricating or modifications. The system includes a new control head for the a/c control. The kit includes: Brand new compressor w/ clutch and oil, Evaporator, Accumulator drier, Condenser, Engine belt, Cycling & high pressure switch, A/C Relay, Recirculation door w/ actuator, Pre-made a/c hoses and liquid line, A/C Control Head, All necessary installation hardware, Paper directions and directions on cd with color pictures. The a/c system we are selling is not an aftermarket a/c system. This a/c system is identical to the a/c system Jeep used in the 98 Wrangler with a six cylinder engine. If any part was to ever break you could find a replacement anywhere Jeep a/c parts are sold. The kit is very simple to install, it does not require any special tools. This a/c kit is designed to fit into a wrangler without any altering or modifying. The kit can be installed in one day, and includes all the necessary parts except the refrigerant to charge it. This a/c system is the most complete available in the aftermarket, and is guaranteed to be the highest quality. If you do not have the factory fan shroud it is highly recommend that you install an auxiliary condenser fan. We have those listed for sale as well. **We have had several customers determine they have a faulty fan clutch while they are installing the new ac system. If you need to replace the fan clutch we do not recommend buying them from the parts stores, we only recommend buying a replacement fan clutch from the dealer(68064764AA).** All kits ship via UPS Ground and require a signature for delivery.
